We sell belting in 1 metre kits to make up your own belt to repair your projector. It is quite easy to weld the belting together using either a soldering iron or hot knife. It is 3mm diamator green vinyl with a high friction surface and not much stretch. As long as it is not overheated in joining it seems to last a long time in use and we have sold 1,000's of mtrs. of it!
A few tips.
Don't use the old belt as the length to cut guide, string or the belting should be used.
Cut to a generous fit, too tight and the motor won't work.
Allow to cool before fitting or tensioning.
Does allow fabrication in place without shaft ends being dismantled.
Replaces square, round or 'Vee' belt shapes
On Sankyo 'Duolux' Series a loose fitting around the fan is the size needed!
Beware! On Eumig P8 original standard 8 models the bottom pulley is Live if you connect up to test the belt !!!!
