Projectors - Eumig, Elmo, Sankyo, B & H, Bolex etc usually available in dual silent and super 8 sound models.
Our favourites are the Eumig 605/7/10 dual models which are all 12v. 100watt models with no sprocket drive and flicker free range of speeds and sell for up to £60.00. (Despite some models being rated at 75 watts we've run a 607D for more than two years on 100w and have seen 607D's rated at 100w. No good for loop projection)
Next commendation is for the Sankyo Dualux 1000 (2000 IQ version ) Very good rubber roller transport - kind to films! £45-55
If you want to run loops go for a sound projector because the sprocket drive front and rear are necessary to pull a length of film. Watch this site for details of D-I-Y loop reel.
